Raku Form No. 5, 2026

$500.00
sold out

Twisted past the point of rupture. The torque is locked in by the fire.

Green upper moving into a galaxy of iridescent blues, coppers and greens.

Raku fired earthenware. A highly delicate and unpredictable process. Pulled from the kiln at near a thousand degrees, each piece is plunged into combustible materials gathered from the surrounding environment, then quenched in water. The surface cannot be repeated.

An original hand-carved studio ceramic by Liz Wycherley, made in New Zealand.

A subtle tong mark at the centre opening is a record of the firing, not a flaw.

Material: earthenware clay, raku fired, signed
Dimensions: H 15cm x W 13cm x D 13cm
Weight: 1.6kg
