Raku Form No. 4, 2026

$1,100.00
sold out

Sliced upward, torn surfaces reading like accumulated deposits. Each plane breaks away from the last.

Black and purple with copper, blue and silver, shifting to blue-green toward the upper form. High gloss throughout.

Raku fired earthenware. A highly delicate and unpredictable process. Pulled from the kiln at near a thousand degrees, each piece is plunged into combustible materials gathered from the surrounding environment, then quenched in water. The surface cannot be repeated.

An original hand-carved studio ceramic by Liz Wycherley, made in New Zealand.

A subtle tong mark on the surface is a record of the firing, not a flaw.

Material: earthenware clay, raku fired
Dimensions: H 20cm x W 12cm x D 10cm
Weight: 1.74kg
