Fifteen kilograms of clay stripped back with wire and blade, then twisted internally.

The glaze shows copper flashes, deep shimmering blacks, blues and purples, and sea greens.

Raku fired earthenware. A highly delicate and unpredictable process. Pulled from the kiln at near a thousand degrees, each piece is plunged into combustible materials gathered from the surrounding environment, then quenched in water. The surface cannot be repeated.
